Gabriel Bocksang Hola

Gabriel Bocksang Hola is Assistant Professor in the School of Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile), where he obtained his undergraduate degree of Licenciatura en Derecho. Later on, he received both his LL.M and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne).

His doctoral thesis, concerning the voidness of administrative acts, was awarded the Prix de thèse of the Centre français de droit comparé (2010-2011) and was published in France in 2013. He is also the author of a book about Chilean administrative procedure and of over 15 academic papers.

His main research interests lie in the theory and history of Administrative Law, in Comparative Public Law, in Administrative Procedure, and in the theory of legal voidness.

Professor Bocksang has collaborated actively in public policy projects about decentralization and administrative procedure, and is currently main investigator in a research project funded by the Chilean Government (CONICYT) about the early stages of Administrative Law in independent Chile (1810-1860).
