David Law

David Law is Professor of Law and Professor of Political Science at Washington University. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and served as executive editor of the Harvard Law Review. He then obtained a Ph.D. in political science at Stanford University, where he held a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship while attending the University of Oxford as a Clarendon Scholar, where he received a degree in European and comparative law. His interests include public law, comparative law, law and social science, judicial politics, and constitutional and political theory. He has served as a visiting professor at Seoul National University School of Law, Keio University Faculty of Law in Tokyo, National Taiwan University College of Law, and was a visiting scholar at the NYU School of Law. He will be a visiting professor at Georgetown University Law Center for the 2012-13 academic year. He is a member of the executive committee of the Law and Courts Section of the American Political Science Association. His work has been featured in the New York Times and translated into Chinese, Japanese, and Romanian.
